Approximately 20 hours per week; 10 months a year August through May Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Responsibilities include: keeping financial records, managing facilities and maintenance, processing information and records for reports, fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors. Working knowledge of Quick Books and Microsoft Office Suite is required, as well as strong communication skills. A love for ministry, students and flexibility is essential.
Administrative Assistant Job Duties: -Financial Record Keeper, uses Quickbooks to record all the business of the BCM, responsible for collections, deposits, payables and balancing accounts -Facilities Assistant, manages building usage, facility maintenance, purchases supplies, and monitors safety, equipment, and cleanliness -Office Assistant for Campus Ministers, files documents and records, makes telephone contacts, prepares reports, newsletters, bulk mailings and correspondence as needed; assists with social media and publicity of the BCM -General Receptionist for the BCM Center, fields telephone calls, receives and directs visitors, as well as distributes mail and packages -Ministry Assistant, ministers to church volunteers, students, and alumni
Required Skills: -Experience in accounting and bookkeeping -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Computers -Ability to keep confidentiality -Strong understanding of ministry -Dependability -Attention to Detail
Helpful Skills: -Familiar with Baptist Collegiate Ministry -Training in customer service -Familiar with non-profit organizations -Experience in building maintenance
